The Japanese sports industry, facing major international sporting events for three consecutive years from 2019, is making rapid progress in efforts to revitalize the regions through sports regardless of the location.
Kansai (Western Japan) in particular, being the birthplace of Japan’s world-famous sports-related companies, has many historical sports competitions and famous sports facilities, including high school baseball at Koshien and high school rugby at Hanazono.
It may be said that Kansai is a sports industry cluster with the potential to create new businesses based on sports. Kansai is also the location for international sports events such as the World Masters Games 2021 Kansai and the Rugby World Cup 2019, and its further development into an international sports industry cluster is anticipated.
The 3rd Stadia & Arena 2018 aims to be a platform for solving issues that currently confront not only sporting facilities but also the entire sports industry. Rebranded as “Sports Business Japan 2018 together with Stadia & Arena Japan 2018,” it will be held in Osaka, a leader in the Japanese sports industry. This event will promote further development of the Japanese sports industry that already anticipates dramatic change through the integration of sports and the advanced technology of other industries such as ICT, leading to sports as a business, becoming a true part of our country’s growth strategy.
We look forward to your support of this event’s aims and hope you will take advantage of this opportunity for PR of your products and services, for development of sales channels or as a place for networking and gathering information.
